🇸🇨 Live Destination · The Eden Escape

The most photographed
beach on Earth.
Not the Maldives.

Three islands, nine days. Tortoises that were already old when your grandparents were born. A rum tasting that we're pretty sure turned into a dance floor by accident.

Same story.
Three ways to live it.

Every tier gets the same activities: the Mahé island tour, Curieuse Island and St. Pierre snorkeling, Anse Source d'Argent. What changes is where you sleep, and how you get between islands.

The Route

Nine days.
Three islands. Exactly this.

🇸🇨
Mahé
3 NIGHTS
DAY 1
Arrival & Beau Vallon
Land, drop your bags, and go eat. Seafood pasta right on Beau Vallon Beach, Mahé's best-known stretch of sand, and a fair introduction to the rest of the week.
DAY 2
Victoria & the Rum That Started a Dance Party
A full day with a driver: the Victoria Clock Tower, the old market, and the view from Mission Lodge. A stop at La Misère Viewpoint for the postcard shot over Eden Island's marina and rooftops, then down for a walk around the marina itself. Last stop, Takamaka Rum Distillery, where the tasting goes on longer than planned.

DAY 3
A Day for Doing Nothing
Beach in the morning. Sauna, ice bath, massage, and a jacuzzi in the afternoon. Nobody's rushing you anywhere today.
🇸🇨
Praslin
3 NIGHTS
DAY 4
Onward to Praslin
The ferry crosses in about an hour. Check into your stay right on the beach at Côte d'Or, and that's the day.
DAY 5
Curieuse Island (and the Best Snorkeling of the Trip)
A boat out to Curieuse Island, landing at Baie Laraie. A guided trail through the mangroves, spotting native crabs and spice plants along the way, leads across to the other side of the island, where over 300 free-roaming Aldabra tortoises live around Anse Laraie. Creole barbecue on the beach there, then back on the boat for a short hop to St. Pierre Islet, a tiny granite outcrop with some of the richest snorkeling in the area. No tortoises out here, just coral, reef fish, and the occasional eagle ray.

DAY 6
Just Praslin
No plan. That's the plan.
🇸🇨
La Digue
2 NIGHTS
DAY 7
La Digue Doesn't Do Cars
Another short ferry, onto an island that mostly skipped the automobile. You'll be on a bicycle within the hour, whether you planned on it or not.
Cycling on La Digue
Getting around La Digue
DAY 8
The Beach Everyone's Seen a Photo Of
A clear kayak out to Anse Source d'Argent. Someone will show you how to open a coconut without a machete. Then you swim, and the granite boulders around you are bigger than the pictures make them look.

DAY 9
Heading Home
An early ferry back to Mahé, a car waiting to take you to the airport, and that's the trip.
